Shruti Hassan with Akshay in Gabbar!

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Ramana Hindi remake, which has been titled Gabbar has now roped Shruti Hassan to play the lead states recent reports. Earlier reports had it that Ileana D Cruz has been finalized, however few other sources said that it is Tamanna Bhatia who has bagged the role.

The decision to finalize Shruti is said to have been made as Tamanna has already paired up with Akki in the film ‘Its Entertainment’. Ramana is a hit Tamil movie, directed by AR Murugadoss which had Vijaykanth and Simran in the leads, with Ashima Bhalla playing the second lead. Interestingly Shruti was also part of a Telugu film titled Gabbar Singh (Telugu remake of Dabangg) alongside Pawan Kalyan.

Gabbar Hindi movie will be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and is directed by Tamil director Jayam Raja.

Shruti Hassan’s religious Belief!

Actress Shruti Hassan is one busy gal trotting between Bollywood, Kollywood, Tollywoods and still finds time to offer her prayers.

The actress who is becoming popular in Tollywood lately with super-duper hits like Gabbar Singh is a very avid follower of a temple near suburbs of Hyderabad. She seems to have visited the temple recently to offer her prayers by performing 108 pradakshinams. It might be a surprise to most of the fans, as her dad Ulaga Nayagan is an atheist.

That said, she does need all the blessings from God, as she has a lineup of movies that is to be released in a while. She is currently acting along with Arjun Rampal for D-Day, the promo of the movie is already going wild with rave reviews for Shruti Hassan‘s daring role.

In Telugu she has Yevady, Ramaya Vasthavaya, Balapu on the cards and all of these are currently in shooting mode. Albeit, the timing is just perfect for the actress who is climbing stardom.

Dhanush’s ‘3’ on Feb 3!

One of the most eagerly awaited films is Aishwarya  Dhanush’s debut directorial venture 3. It stars her husband Dhanush along with Shruti Haasan.  Kolaveri  Di, the song that went viral composed by music director Anirudh is what has made 3 a phenomenon before release.

Now the latest trade winds indicate that 3 is slated for release on February 3.  The film which is produced by Dhanush's father Kasthuri Raja is hot in the market.

The film has Prabhu, Rohini, Sundar Ramu and Siva Karthikeyan in supporting roles. The audio of the film which was released by Sony Music is now topping the charts.

All this has created a big buzz around the film. Sony Music is throwing a 3 music success party for the media today (Jan 10).

7aum Arivu banned in Sri Lanka?

There was a call to ban 7aum Arivu in Sri Lanka because the film had some dialogues on the lack of Tamil liberation movement. This created uproar in Sri Lanka and there was call to ban the film.

Following this opposition, the producer of 7aum Arivu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, decided to delete the offending scenes so that it would not hurt the film’s success in that country. The protestors are now contended that the dialogues have been removed and have allowed the film to be screened.

7aum Arivu stars Suriya and Shruti Haasan in the lead. AR Murugadoss has directed this film which has music by Harris Jayraj.
