Remaking Superstar Rajinikanth's films or getting his title for new projects has been done by many directors in Kollywood so far. Now, director Ranjith of Attakathi fame is the latest entrant in the list.

The upcoming film maker has taken 'Kaali', as the title for his new film which is at its nascent stage. He will be teaming up with producer KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green for this venture.
Earlier, there were news suggesting that Karthi has shown interest in Ranjith's script after listening to it and hence the duo are in talks for signing a film.
As Gnanavel Raja happens to be the producer for all of Karthi's films, this title would be for Karthi-Ranjith's proposed film. However, an official confirmation in this regard is yet to be made.
