Vijay,Ileana liplock in Nanban?

vijay_ileanaOne of the highpoints of '3 Idiots' is a romantic encounter between Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the climax, during which they would exchange a passionate kiss. Now that the film is being remade in Tamil, there is a question about retaining the scene.

"It is a long liplock scene which was well received by the audience. But it may not be retained in the Tamil version. Even if it is there, it would be shot in a way that you miss it if you blink," sources close to the unit say.

'3 Idiots' is being Tamilised by Shankar as 'Nanban', with Vijay, Srikanth and Jeeva playing the lead roles. Ileana is the heroine, while Sathyaraj plays her father. Music is scored by Harris Jayaraj.

"Nanban is getting shape fast. Shankar has made some slight changes to the script to make it appeal to the Tamil audience. There may even be a fight sequence to satisfy Vijay fans. But we are not sure about it," sources say further.

Shankar’s Nanban for Diwali!

Shankar is working at record speed to wrap up Nanban. He has already completed two schedules and is planning on maintaining the same speed for the third schedule which is due to begin soon. The super-successful director usually takes a long time to complete his films as he is very particular about detailing and also has a tendency to re-shoot extensively.

But given that Nanban is a multi-starrer with big stars like Vijay and Telugu sensation Ileana who are also involved in other projects and have limited dates, Shankar is working at a fast and furious pace in order to avoid date hassles and other complications.

Insiders say that the director is urging Harris Jayaraj to give him all the songs quickly so that the audio launch can be held in September making a Diwali release possible. Two songs have been completed and Harris is working round the clock to finish the rest of the music. Will Nanban explode in theatres on Diwali? We certainly hope so.

Rajini,Shankar are good friends

rajini_shankar_sivajisilverjublee

The audio release of ’Eeram’ produced by director Shankar directed by newcomer Arivazhagan, took place in Chennai. The VVIP guest was Rajini, who released the audio and then gave a speech.

Shankar said he found a friend in Rajini during the filming of ’Sivaji’ and ’Endhiran.’ In response, Rajini said he found a good friend in the hard working and quick thinking Shankar.

"Shankar usually is quite right when he predicts the success or failure of a film. He said ’Pulikesi’ will do well financially. He said ’Veyil’ would surely win an award. He said if people accept ’Kallooori,’ it will do well. Now he says ’Eeram’ will definitely run well. This is what I like about Shankar.

I would like to share a good news with you. About 85% of ’Endhiran’ shooting is over. We have all worked very hard together to make this a remarkable film. They have worked very intelligently in ’Eeram.’ No field that is not damp is of use. Similarly, a heart without mercy is of no use," said Rajini.
