Siddharth & Samantha Wedding!

From the time he entered the film circuit as a hero, Siddharth has been quite popular among the ladies. This is not just onscreen but also off the screen. That is one reason why he has been tagged with some allegedly hot affairs with the likes of Soha Ali Khan, Shruti Hassan. The latest in that kitty is Samantha.

However, this time things seem to be getting quite serious if filmnagar sources are to be believed. Though there is a significant age gap between both and Sidz is married and divorced, it is heard that his relationship with Samantha is going the marriage way. Well, the latest update is that parents of Siddharth have given their clearance.

Apparently, there is news that Samantha has already met the parents of Sidz and they have liked her. Of course there is also another version that nothing is happening between Sidz-Samantha and already his parents are preparing to give an ad to find the right kind of bride. Well, all these gossips can get cleared only in the coming days.

Samantha in ‘singham 2’ remake!

Lately, Bollywood is making use of the widely celebrated talents in South Indian film industry and yes, we are talking about the heroines here.

While Asin, Ileana, Kajal Agarwal, Tamannah and Tapasee have all made their entries in Bollywood, it is yet another celebrated South beauty Samantha who is gearing up for her launch in Hindi.

Sources abuzz that the actress will be making her debut through the remake of director Hari's 'Singam 2'. Reports add that director Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn seems to have been impressed watching Samantha in the Hindi dubbed version of Telugu super-hit 'Eega'.

However, an official announcement fir the same is awaited.

Samantha failed to impress Mani Ratnam!

Earlier, we have reported that ace director Mani Ratnam is back to his favourite forte: romantic musicals. According to sources, Mani Ratnam's next will be an intense love story based on the sensitive issue of plight of Rameshwaram fishermen at the hands of Sri Lankan Navy. The film will have actor Karthik's son Gautham in the lead role. It is heard that recently the director called Tollywood sensation Samantha for a screen test at his office in Chennai. However she failed to impress the ace director and was eventually rejected. The director is still looking for a suitable actress for his film.

Veteran cinematographer Rajeev Menon and music director A.R. Rahman will reportedly be a part of this project. Well, it looks like the ace director is all set to recapture the magic of Roja, Mouna Raagam and Alaipayuthey again on screen.

Samantha has no mood to turn to Kollywood!

Reports say that pretty Samantha, who played Trisha’s role in the Telugu version of ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya’ and starred as debutant Atharva’s heroine in last year’s ‘Baana Kathadi’, is said to be turning a blind eye to Tamil film offers pouring in on her lap.

For some reasons, she appears to have decided that except her mentor and director Gautham Menon’s films, she would never be committing herself to doing any other Tamil film(s) in the near future. For Menon, though, her call-sheet diary is always there for him to fill up the requisite number of days.

Samantha was to star opposite Ajith in his landmark 50th film which was to be directed by Gautham Menon a few months back. As it turned out, Gautham and Ajith fell out with each other, resulting in Samantha missing out on what could have been a major break in her career.

For the present, Samantha is said to in no mood to turn to Kollywood as she is planning to ‘cement’ her place in Tollywood but would make a ‘concession’ if Menon approached her for a role in one of his films. Samantha reminds one of Anushka, who switched over to Tollywood after her debut film in Tamil (‘Rendu’) flopped and then had to invariably make a comeback to Tamil films.
