Karthi’s won appreciation from his sister-in-law!
Karthi’s performance in his recent release ‘Siruthai’, in which he performed dual role for the first time in his acting career, has won appreciation from his sister-in-law Jyothika.
“Anni said long back that she would watch the film on the first day itself since I am playing a police officer. Sticking to her words, she watched ‘Siruthai’ on the very first day,” Karthi says.
“She thoroughly enjoyed the movie,” the actor says and adds: “She sent me congratulatory messages through mobile even before the show got over. I am overwhelmed.”
On the possibilities of his acting together with his brother Suriya, Karthi says, “I don’t think we would share the screen space in the near future. Because, he is busy for the next two years. And several other factors have also to be considered.”

Jyothika is behind Suriya’s sucess
Suriya’s first Bollywood film Rakta Charitra is progressing at a rapid speed. When the actor was questioned about his interest in Hindi films, Suriya replied that though he received several offers in the past, nothing was interesting enough to sign up.
The actor said that when Ram Gopal Varma came up with RC, he decided that it is the film that should mark his entry into Bollywood.
When questioned about his spoken Hindi skills, Suriya replied that he had been formally trained by a Madurai-based Hindi teacher and his wife Jyothika also played an important role in honing his linguistic skills.

Jyothika goes on a shopping spree
Jyothika rarely makes a public appearance. But when she does, it makes news.
Recently, the pretty lady inaugurated Meena Bazaar, an exhibition of designer clothes, jewellery, accessories, cards, gifts and home furnishing in which designer showcased their latest collection.
Jo walked in with her good friend Lakshmi and went through all the stalls picking up bags, shoes and things for her home.
Dressed in a casual salwar-kameez, she was glowing and was the cynosure of all eyes.

Suriya’s Family Inaugurate their own Clinic
Mindmoulders (a counselling centre) opted for film actor Sivakumar and his family - which has become an epitome of a sweet and ideal family - to inaugurate its new clinic Home Sweet Home.It was a sight to behold proud parents Mr. and Mrs. Sivakumar standing next to their successful children and lighting the ceremonial “kuthu vilakku” to mark the clinic’s start.
With every improvement humanity makes, the pace in its lifestyle also gets increased. The mental fatigue such a lifestyle causes wears out an individual. Home Sweet Home aims to soothe your frayed nerves with its staff well-trained in the art of counselling.When the guests - Mr. and Mrs. Sivakumar, Suriya, Karthi, and Brinda Sivakumar - spoke at the function, they pinpointed the necessity of such counselling centres.
Sivakumar ridiculed the present scenario where couples seek divorce at the drop of a hat! He cited cases where couples sought divorce because of trivial reasons such as “snoring”. The veteran actor pointed out that the present generation is highly “pressurized” and instead of seeking solutions to problems, tries to avoid them.
Extolling the benefits of counselling centres such as Home Sweet Home, actor Suriya said that in his younger days, he found it hard to discuss some issues with his parents, though they were highly welcoming and open. He pointed out that counselling centres like this would be highly useful to young adults.
Karthi said that he was able to realize the true value of a family when he went to the US for his studies. He further added that due to globalization, the Indian society has changed a lot and the changes have caused several undesirable effects, so counselling centres are very vital to fight them. Jyothika celebrates birthday
Jyothika celebrated another very happy birthday in the bosom of her loving family in Chennai. Born on October 18, 1978 as Sadhana to film producer Chander Sadanah and Seema Sadanah in Mumbai, she was preceded to Kollywood by sister Nagma, who was also one of the leading heroines of her day.
Doli Saja Ke Rakhna opposite Akshay Khanna was her first movie. Though that didn’t pan out, she was noticed by Kollywood and her first movie as a full-fledged heroine was Poovellam Kettuppar opposite Suriya, who later wooed and married her in September 2006.
One of the few fairy-tale marriages between two equally famous actors, the Suriya-Jyothika marriage is the stuff of dreams. Blessed with a daughter, Diya, who celebrated her first birthday a while ago, this couple is still as much in love as the day they first met!
Unlike many other heroines who quit films only after their first flush of success is over, Jyothika stepped into matrimony when she was at the very peak of her career, thus leaving her fans wanting more. Mozhi, Vettaiyadu Villaiyadu and Pachaikili Muthucharam, which were among her last movies, saw her at the height of her acting powers.

Trisha is better than Jyothika
Kollywood Cute actress Trisha says that she will prove she will out perform Jothika in acting through her Telugu movie Bujjikkaadu.
She also says that she is now equal to that of young directors and she questions them about the scene before acting.
She is now acting in three Tamil movies and she says people will understand that Trisha has three different faces through her acting in these movies.

Surya and Jyotika in philanthropic activities.
Actors Suriya and Jyotika are recently getting involved in a lot of philanthropic activities. These days, they are juggling with their new parenthood and careers, and still find time to continue their philanthropic activities. The couple has lately been very active with Agaram Foundation, started by actor Sivakumar. The foundation has adopted two schools and is engaged in activities to promote education. It is well known that this couple, in collaboration with Tamil Nadu Educational board, is making a short film to promote education among children in villages and from the poorer sections of the society, especially girls. It also touches upon the subject of autism. The aim of this short film is to promote education and stop these children from dropping out of schools.
This documentary is on the verge of completion and is being eagerly awaited by everyone as it brings together almost all the stars of Kollywood, including Vijay and Madhavan. Though Ajith wanted to participate, he could not do so because of tight schedules plus health problems related to his spine surgery. K.V. Anand is the cameraman; Harris Jayaraj is composing music; Mani Rathnam and Rajiv Menon are also associated with this documentary.
This is Jyotika’s first tryst with the camera after her marriage. She is known to be very much involved with her family, especially with her daughter; so much so that she stopped acting after marriage. But she agreed to do this film to support the noble cause. Ignoring the hot summer, she reported for outdoor shooting for this movie. The film’s shooting began last month with some scenes being shot at Marina Beach. It was a scene in which Jyotika walking on the beach with a bunch of kids.
Suriya, despite being busy with Varaanam Ayiram and Ayan, is giving his best for this documentary. He is planning his schedules in advance and making adjustments so as to be available for this film’s shooting. In fact, the visible happiness generated by working together in this documentary has sparked speculations that this couple might soon act again in a commercial venture too.
The couple has become very noticeable by their noble deeds. Chennai’s citizens have the highest regards for this famous couple in this city. Our city’s high regards for them can be likened to the regards that people had for Rajiv and Sonia or Charles and Diana.
