Surya Replaced by Vishal!
Singam 2, the hugely awaited sequel to Singam with the same Suriya and Hari team has been dropped. Apparently, some difficulties cropped up and the project was scrapped. Suriya and Hari have agreed to work together in future if something suitable comes along.
In the meantime, Hari has decided to go ahead and make a film with Vishal. The script has been finalized and Hari is anxious to get started with his Sandakozhi hero.

Vishal-Sameera Reddy's Vedi received U/A certificate!
Vishal-Sameera Reddy's Vedi has received a clean U/A certificate from the Censor Board recently. According to sources, director Prabhu Deva is taking special care to make the songs appear unique on screen. The sizzling chemistry between Vishal and Sameera Reddy is one of the major highlights of Vedi. Sun Pictures has bagged the release rights of Vedi.
Music composed by Vijay Anthony was launched in Chennai recently. According to sources, Vedi is about a Tamil family staying in Kolkata. It is also about the hero, who is in search of his sister.
The film is produced under Vishal’s home banner GK Film Corporation. The film is a remake of the Telugu super hit Sowryam with Gopichand and Anushka in the lead roles. Reportedly Sameera plays the role of a fun-loving college girl Paaro. Sameera will try her hand at comedy for the first time in this film.

Vishal is in love with Varalaxmi!
Well, that is the latest and hottest news in Kollywood today! Rumours suggest that handsome hunk Vishal is in love with Sarathkumar's daughter Varalaxmi. The relationship recently reached a point where there was even discussion of marriage, but reportedly Vishal's father is not happy with the relationship. Friends turned foes Sarathkumar and G.K. Reddy (Vishal's father) have worked together in many projects; their last joint outing was I Love India, which failed miserable at the box office.
But actor Vishal has denied all these reports and claims they are 'just good friends'.

Prabhu Deva started shooting with Vishal and Sameera!
The film is a remake of the Telugu hit Shouryam that had Gopichand and Anushka in the lead.
Earlier last month, after a soft launch, Prabhu Deva had shot comedy scenes between Vivek and Sameera at the same college.
Vishal who plays a cop in the film has started shooting only from Friday (Feb 18), as he was busy completing Bala's Avan Ivan.
Prabhu Deva directing Vishal in an all out action movie has created a positive buzz around the film.
The film has music by Vijay Antony and it is sure to turn out into a peppy entertainer.

Vishal targeting for Guinness!
Vishal is targeting a place in the Guinness Book of Records, for his performance as a squint-eyed in 'Avan Ivan', directed by National award winning filmmaker Bala.
"I believe this is the first time for an actor to perform squint-eye throughout a film. We are in the process of applying to the Guinness Book of Records," says the actor.
Thrilled at sharing the screen space with Arya in the film, he says, "He is one of my best buddies for the past many years. We knew each other very well even before both of us entered cinema. I was only happy to know that he was my co-star in Avan Ivan."
Not ready to take a break, Vishal has started his next, directed by Prabhu Deva with Sameera Reddy playing the female lead. "It would be an unusual entertainer which is targeted at all sections of the audience," he says.

Vijay, Vishal and Vikram in Mani Ratnam film!
Veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam, sources say, has decided to cast Vijay, Vishal and Vikram in his next film. The director is getting the script ready for his next film and is penning it down with these three stars in mind.
Mani Ratnam is one of the few directors who cast multi-heroes in his films and tasted success in films like Agni Natchathiram, which had Karthik and Prabhu; Iruvar, which saw the coming together of two legends Mohanlal and Prakash Raj and Thalapathy which had two superstars Rajinikanth and Mammootty.
This time the ace director will be instrumental in bringing the three current biggies of Kollywood together – Vishal, Vikram and Vijay.

Vishal will join Prabhu Deva's film soon!
Reportedly Vishal has completed the shoot of Bala’s Avan Ivan and will now join Prabhu Deva's film unit in the first week of February. The film is produced under Vishal’s home banner GK Film Corporation. Pretty actress Sameera Reddy has already started shooting for the film in Chennai. Reportedly Sameera plays the role of a fun-loving college girl Paaro. Sameera will try her hand at comedy for the first time in this film.
Meanwhile, Prabhu Deva’s directorial venture Engeyum Kaathal, staring Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani, is likely to hit screens on Valentine's Day.

Reema’s tiff with Vishal
Reema Sen was initially touted to star in Vishal’s Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai. The lady, however, was not a part of the film. When questioned about this, Reema said that director Thiru felt that an established actress could thwart the suspense factor and it would be difficult to keep the film’s storyline under wraps.
There were also reports that Reema decided to walk out of the film following a tiff with Vishal. The lady, however, rubbished such reports, and said starring in a film depends on the suitability factor too.

Bipasha Basu won’t pair with Vishal
Bipasha Basu is laying emphasis on an area her fans would hardly care about: her pronunciation! The sex siren, who has earlier featured in a blink-and-miss role in Vijay’s ‘Sachin’, said she was not interested in doing both Tamil and Telugu films. Birdies in Kollywood have it that she was approached to play an important role in Vishal’s forthcoming film. When asked about it, the actress said she was diffident in acting in a language she was not familiar with. “It’s never an issue of who the hero is or how he looks when I agree to a script. The most important factor is if I understand the language that I’m expected to mouth. I don’t understand both Telugu and Tamil and so haven’t taken up offers from there,” says the actress.

Nayanthara,Vishal's 'Sathyam' censored
GK Film Corporation’s Vikram Krishna produced; Vishal’s action-cop film Sathyam has been censored, with ‘UA’ certificate.
It’s Telugu version Salute however has been cleared with an ‘A’ certificate, which is the norm for all action movies produced in Tollywood.
Among the cuts given by the censors, the steamy song Chellame, Chellame… picturised on Vishal and Nayanthara has been trimmed. Some dialogue muting is also there.
However Vishal is happy that the film has been censored and is now ready for release on August 14. Concludes a relieved Vishal: “I’m very happy and contended the way the film has shaped out. The censors have been nice and they also acknowledged the fact that the film has a powerful message to convey.”

Vishal is on the top on young heroes
Nayanthara and Vishal’s forthcoming venture Sathyam, a bilingual, is already creating waves in the industry. The film is touted to hit the silver screens on August 15th, 2008. Unconfirmed reports from Kollywood say that negotiations are on with the distributors to sell the Tamil Nadu rights for Rs. 40 crores and the Andhra Pradesh rights for Rs. 25 crores.
Incidentally, Sathyam was made at a budget of Rs. 25 crores. It is believed that with the present competition to buy Sathyam’s distributorship rights, Vishal would soon emerge as the winner among the young heroes. When probed into this sudden surge of competition to buy Sathyam, it was said that the action sequences and glam girl Nayanthara were the deciding factors that increased Sathyam’s popularity among the distributors.

Nayanthara,Vishal hot kissing scene in the movie Sathyam
Sathyam (Salute in Telugu) is a forthcoming Tamil film project, to be simultaneously shot in Telugu, directed by debutante Rajasekhar, an associate of Suresh Krishna.[1] The film stars Vishal and he is set to don a role of a Police Inspector for the first time. Nayanthara will play the role of the lead lady, while Kannada actor Upendra plays the role of the antagonist. The film’s score and soundtrack are composed by Harris Jeyaraj. The film is set to be released in July 2008. This film is produced by Viram Krishna.

Nayanthara and Vishal now in Tenkasi
Vishal and Nayanthara along with the unit of Sathyam has gone to south Tamilnadu for picturisation of the last song in the film.
With the picturisation of this song all the five songs are complete. Vishal can heave a sigh of relief as it was a Herculean task to get these five songs from its music director the busy bee Harris Jayaraj.
This song which is a typical Kuthu pattu, a very important ingredient in any mass masala entertainer will be shot on the lead pair in Nagercoil and Tenkasi. Dinesh who is Vishal favourite will be choreographing the song and the costumes are by Nalini Sriram.
Vishal hopes to complete the bilingual soon and remember that it is his first home production that is talking the maximum time to get completed. Nayan will complete the song and join the Aegan unit by May 17 in Yercaud.

Vishal’s Loving Girl????
The tall, dark action hero Vishal has kept himself in the news with his flings. He has been providing fodder to entertainment pages, as Chennai is witnessing the biggest ever paper war over circulation in the last few weeks.
Vishal one of the smartest cookies in town wanted to cash in on it, by suddenly celebrating the 125 days function of his Malaikottai. After the morning function, Vishal held a private bash at Pasha in The Park hotel. And the surprise guest at the party was none other than his Chellamay and Thimiru lucky mascot Reema Sen who was also in the city for an award function.
Vishal and Reema bonded big time during the making of Thimiru but later reported to have fallen out, post release of the film after the media reports about their “affair”. In fact Reema the prim and proper girl with a clean image denied it and brushed it aside as mere rumours spread by vested interests.
Kollywood grapevine has it that Reema was keeping a studious silence and avoided Vishal with a vengeance. And Reema was conspicuous by her absence at the grand wedding of Vishal’s brother Vikky, her good friend.
At the Malaikottai function, Vishal told the media that his lady love (an actress) is definitely not Priyamani or Nayanthara as they have been writing. The media went on a wild goose chase trying to figure out the third angle to the “mystery girl, an actress” in Vishal’s life. Showbiz corridors are working overtime trying to figure out who would be the girl that Vishal is deeply in love?
A little bird has informed us that Vishal was desperately trying to make peace with Reema at the party and later at the coffee shop. Perhaps catching up with the old times??

Vishal : Love with Nayanthara or Priyamani ?
The Kollywood actor Vishal had been top the chart for hearing many gossips that Vishal and Priyamani in love later it turned to Nayanthara. Vishal says when gossips comes with the celebrities it won’t mind after the film is over the gossip will begin with the next film heroine.
The media is ablaze with speculation on who is the lady love of Vishal? Vishal in an interview to a leading Tamil weekly Ananda Vikatan has said that he is in love with an actress and it is a going to be a special valentines day for him. Now everyone is playing the guessing game of naming the lucky lady. Is it Priyamani with whom he acted in Malaikottai?
Is it Nayantara with whom he is acting in the upcomming satyam? Both the actresses when contacted have categorically denied the rumors. When contacted again, Vishal says that it is one sided love and he has not told the actress yet. They are friends and understand each other well. He is not sure if he will ever tell the actress. But if he decides to tell and the actress accepts then the whole of Tamil Nadu will know about it.
On the 125th day celebration of “Malaikottai” actor Vishal address in front of his fans that he is not in love with any of these actresses. The actors like Bhagyaraj, Parthiban, Jeeva, Jayam Ravi, Sandhya and many other celebrities appeared in the function and it was hosted in a great manner.
