Prithviraj tied the knot to Supriya Menon

Tamil and Malayalam film actor Prithviraj tied the knot to Supriya Menon on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Thenkurissi Heritage Villa, Palakkad, India. Supriya works as a news reporter for BBC news and stays in Mumbai. See the photo gallery.

The ceremony was very low-profile with only close relatives and friends of the couple attending it in the presence of mother Mallika Sukumaran and brother-actor Indrajit. Reportedly around 50 people were present.

The Thenkurissi Heritage Villa resort was turned into a fortress and nobody other than those with 'special identity cards' were allowed to attend the wedding.

Prithviraj ready for marriage!

Has the handsome hunk of Malayalam cinema Prithviraj finally found true love? Is he getting married and settling down after the release of his magnum opus Urumi ?

Prithviraj the man who would be the king after M & M's (Mammootty & Mohanlal) period gets over, and whose name has been linked to some of the most beautiful leading ladies has fallen in love with a Mumbai based television news journalist!!

Raju as he is called at home is a very private person and had kept the affair under the wraps from the media glare all these months. Almost every weekend he used to fly in to Mumbai to meet his lady love.

Prithvi who at best of times had a "love hate" relationship with the media, is supposed to have been totally floored by this lady, a brilliant TV reporter. He met her more than a year back when she was reporting for a famous English news channel on south cinema.

As per our impeccable sources, what attracted the most "eligible bachelor in Kerala" to this news television reporter was her "intellect and she had a lot in common with the star". Prithviraj's family especially his mother Mallika Sukumaran has no objection to her son marrying the smart young journalist as she is a Malayalee Menon girl!

Our sources have indicated that Prithviraj will most likely have a "very private wedding" in April 2011, attended by a few of his close friends and family.

Later he will hold a big reception in his home town of Thiruvananthapuram for industry people and his legion of fans.

SHRIYA’S DATE WITH PRITHVIRAJ

As part of diversifying her scope of career, Shriya will be seen in the Malayalam flick Pokkiri Raja alongside Prithviraj.

Prithvi is among the leading Gen-X actors in Mollywood and Shriya will also have a few scenes with Mammooty who plays a role in Pokkiri Raja.

RAAVAN GETS READY FOR RELEASE

Mani Ratnam is working over time to release Raavan in July. The film’s shooting is almost over and the director has begun the post production work. However, Mani decided to re-shoot a couple scenes as he was not very satisfied with it. With the re-shoot, Mani now feels that Raavan has come out very well.

 

Raavan is a multilingual film and it has Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Prithviraj in important roles in Tamil, while in Hindi Abhishek Bachchan plays Vikram’s role.

Prithviraj in more Telugu films?

Prithviraj, the handsome hero from Malayalam film industry is hoping for the best. The actor now has a string of films under his belt. He is currently engaged with Raavan directed by Mani Ratnam and also has Ninaithaale Inikkum apart from a many other films.

According to latest update, the actor is booked till end of 2010, and is finding it very difficult to decline new offers coming his way.

He is also a part of a Telugu flick titled Police Police, which has been completed and is ready for release. Prithviraj has reportedly signed two more Telugu films, and is eagerly looking forward to start working on the same.

Everyone wants a talented actor like Prithviraj in their film and we wish Prithviraj the very best of luck for all his forthcoming venture.

Mani Ratnam to shoot Raavan in Kerala again!

Director Mani Ratnam has been shooting for Raavan for the past several months. The filming of the climax scenes has just started and the director has got special permission from the Government of Kerala to shoot in certain interior regions of the Silent Valley forest reserve.

Raavan has Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai apart from Priyamani, Prithviraj and Vikram in important roles. This schedule would last for 45 days approximately, and the ace director also has plans to use a helicopter to reach certain remote and inaccesible areas.

The shooting for Raavan is expected to be complete in the next few months and let us hope that the film is a success!

Padmapriya,Prithviraj paring for "Nagercoil "

Padmapriya, right from the start of her career, has been considered as a brainy actress who very well knew what she wants from films. She ventured out doing heavy roles with senior stars in Malayalam, and took her time to play heroine to younger heroes like Prithviraj. She had been with the young star in films like ’Sathumpodaathay’ and ’Veeralipattu’.

Now the actress is once again teaming up with Prithviraj for ’Nagercoil’, a movie directed by Surender. The movie will start its shoot within a couple of months.
