Prabhu Deva to direct Virat Kohli!

Our very own Prabhu Deva has become the poster boy of Bollywood. Yes, after the success of Rowdy Rathore, he is all over the Page 3 news and is regularly seen at events across Mumbai. His item number for Akshay Kumar‘s Joker with Sonakshi Sinha also earned him more eyeballs. Now, Prabhu Deva is all set to conquer the ad film world as well.

For his first ad film, a new shoe brand was the client and Indian ODI vice captain Virat Kohli was the man that Prabhu directed. In stark contrast to his on-field image, that of fiery persona, Virat is also known to be a cool guy off the field.

Prabhu Deva was understandably happy with this new experience and had a lot of fun. An official announcement in this regard is expected soon.

Nayantara opens up about Prabhu Deva!

The industry was shocked when lovebirds Prabhudeva and Nayantara decided to part ways. Their tumultuous and a very serious affair couldn't stand the blow of time. After being in relationship over three and half years Nayantara splits with Prabhu Deva. Earlier there were rumors that both the love couple will get married soon.

Nayantara has finally opened her mouth on calling it quits with Prabhu Deva.  From what the actress has said to the media, it appears, she is feeling cheated.  She insinuated that although she was ready to make any sacrifice, the other one did not seem to value love.

"I had always been one hundred percent honest with Prabhu Deva.  When I realized that it did not have any meaning or value (for him), I thought I better come out of it.  I never thought that my love will come to an end in the middle", said Nayan.

However, Nayantara has learnt something from the experience.  "I understand that anything can happen any time in life."  She said that she was always ready to do anything in love.  "I sacrificed a lot for his sake.  If problems that arise in love are not rectified in time, they can get out of hand.  That is what has happened with me", she said.

Prabhu Deva to perform live at IPL opening!

Prabhu Deva is truly a phenomenon and now the Michael Jackson of India will perform live at Indian premier League 2012 grand opening ceremony on April 3 in Chennai.

The star will groove to a medley of his super hit songs from Tamil and Hindi tracks for the select audiences at YMCA grounds in Chennai. This year the opening function will not be held at the stadium like always, and is packaged as a visual extravaganza.

The highlight is that Prabhu Deva will do the finale segment of the opening ceremony along with Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra who are the other star performers.

Amitabh Bachchan will be the presenter of the show and it promises to a star-studded affair and the mother of all shows and for Prabhu Deva it is double whammy, as April 3 happens to be his birthday and he is all excited to give a live dance performance to such a huge audience for the first time.

Nayan for Prabhu Deva,Thara for his Father!

As if the problems faced by Prabhu Deva on the ‘Nayanthara’ front aren’t enough, it’s now the turn of his father and celebrated dance choreographer Sundaram to face the heat for something which occurred almost four decades back. A case been filed against the veteran choreographer by dance choreographer Thara who has accused him of committing adultery and ditching her many years ago.

Sundaram has choreographed dance sequences in hundreds of films in various languages. In her petition filed with the Chennai High Court, Thara has said that though Sundaram formally tied the nuptial knot on her and stayed with her for a few months, he ditched her after the birth of a child born out of the wedlock almost 38 years back.

“We got married 38 years back and started leading our lives. He then left for his native place where he married Prabhudeva’s mother. Coming back to me, he said that he had married out of sheer compulsion from parents. Due to my marriage with him, I gave birth to a male child. Sundaram lived with me till four months after the birth of the child and gave me the slip.

“This has obviously had a detrimental effect on me and I toiled like anything. In the child’s birth certificate, Sundaram’s name has been mentioned as the ‘father’. I and my son suffer now with no help forthcoming from any quarters. We have been suffereing economically and request the Court to take action to provide relief and rehabilitation to us. I had kept quiet all these years as I wanted him to live peacefully.

“Now that we are suffering with no help from others, I’m seeking the Court’s help to provide me relief under the law. I want maintenance fee from him regularly,” Thara’s petition ha said. Acting on the petition, the Court has reportedly issued summons to Sundaram

Nayantara and Prabhu Deva watch ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ movie together!

While her forthcoming mythological film Sri Rama Rajyam, starring veteran Balakrishna in the lead under the direction of Bapu, is releasing today (November 17), it is heard that actress Nayantara and Prabhu Deva will watch the movie together in Chennai on her birthday, November 18.

It is observed that the actress is most likely to announce her retirement from films after the release of Sri Rama Rajyam in which she plays Sita. Balakrishna plays Lord Rama. Sri Rama Rajyam is based on some episodes of the epic Ramayana. Music is by Ilaiyaraaja and script by Mullapudi Venkata Ramana.

Prabhu Deva warned Nayan to cut out her expenses!

Nayantara and Prabhu Deva seems to be hitting the gossip headlines often. Nayantara though did not announce her retirement, seemed to have stopped signing in on new projects and the industry has been buzz that her last film is Sri Ramarajyam in which she plays Goddess Sita.

 

The latest buzz is that Nayantara's expenses have hit the roof and that the actress is not able to maintain a balance with her expenses, as she had to pay for a lot of mortgage loans.

We now hear that her beau Prabhu Deva has come to her rescue and is paying out her EMIs for four of her Luxury Cars.

Prabhu Deva is more than worried has her expenses seemed to have increased these days and Nayan who is not doing any films right now is depending on her soon to be wedded Prabhu Deva and is has to bare all the burden. Prabhu is said to have paid Rs 10 lakh for Nayantara's loans.

Reports also state that he has warned Nayan to cut out her expenses, while she fails to hear him out. We hear a new story that the incident which was reported few days back about Nayan not allowing Prabhu to enter her house in Kochi was due to paying of bills. She is said to have told that he will not allow him until he pays the bills claims certain reports.

The couple is yet to announce their Wedding date.

Clash between Prabhu Deva-Nayantara!

Just when people were busy guessing the date and venue of much-awaited marriage of Prabhu Deva-Nayantara, a shocking speculation is doing rounds in the cine circle. Grapevine has it that the couple's relationship is in trouble and they are yet to sort out the differences.

Prabhu Deva was recently accompanied by his children for a shooting schedule in abroad. The choreographer-turned-director, who was asked by Nayantara to take her with him, told her to stay back but did not reveal the reason behind it. He was reportedly not keen to be with her while his kids were around. This has lead to the rift between the couples, claim reports.

Reports further say that Prabhu Deva's proximity with his kids has not gone well with Nayantara, as she believes that the choreographer is ignoring her. The actress has given up so many things for him – she bid goodbye to her career during her peak years, converted to Hinduism, etc. – but he is not ready sacrifice a bit of it.

Prabhu Deva who is busy with the shoot of his upcoming Tamil Movie Vedi and also in news for his Hindi movie Rowdy Rathore film, is constantly in news for his Marriage with actress Nayantara.

The gossips have even gone to the extent that they married them and is reported to have secretly married in Mumbai.

Prabhu opens about his marriage with Nayantara and speaks saying, “I am always been a very private person and never like to discuss my personal life. Prabhu Deva Nayanthara secret marriage!

A few days back, the Telugu and Tamil media was abuzz with reports that actress Nayantara and Prabhu deva had ‘secretly’ married in Mumbai.  The reason given for Prabhu’s un-publicized wedding was that Prabhu deva was apprehensive of the ‘reaction’ of his grown-up kids through his first wife Ramalat on seeing the invitation of their father’s ‘re-marriage’.

The duo has now announced that they are likely to wed sometime this month, denying that the marriage had already taken place ‘secretly’.  Prabhu deva parted ways with Ramalat, his wife of 15 years, after developing a ‘soft corner’ for actress Nayantara during the making of his directorial venture ‘Villu’ in which she played the heroine opposite Vijay.  The ‘soft corner’ was due to the fact that Nayan had just ended her stormy relationship with actor Simbu.

Ramalat opposed the marriage tooth and nail but was pacified by Prabhu deva who agreed to part away with huge sums of cash and property to get Ramalat agreed to a mutual divorce.  The Family Court in Chennai granted the divorce a couple of months back, freeing Prabhu deva from whatever matrimonial bond he had with Ramalat.  Later, Nayantara embraced Hinduism at Chennai’s Arjaya Samaj to get married to Prabhu as per Hindu rituals.

It is now informed that the marriage would be held in the second fortnight of September and that the venue would either be Mumbai or Hyderabad.  The marriage would be a grand affair, it is learnt.

The hottest news currently on the grapevine is Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara's wedding. Word has got out that the marriage will happen in Mumbai far from the media circus that follows them around in the South. Nayan who has completed all pending projects is focusing entirely on wedding preparations since she wants everything to go perfectly for her dream wedding.

Prabhu Deva is currently working on a film with Vishal called Vedi and will also be doing a Bollywood version of Siruthai with Akshay Kumar. Nayanthara denies the rumours!

For the past few months, there was widespread speculation that actress Nayantara is all set to quit films. Rumours of her retirement from films started when she declined several film offers from leading directors in Tamil and Telugu. She recently completed shooting for her Telugu film Sri Rama Rajyam, starring Balakrishna, and on the last day of the shoot, she got emotional on the sets. The unit members showered flowers on the actress to express their gratitude. Nayan couldn't control her tears and broke down.

But the actress has now denied these reports."When did I announce that I'm quitting?" she reportedly said. Nayan also explained that she has nothing to say; that is the reason for her silence. With Prabhu Deva's divorce, all eyes are now on Prabhu-Nayan's wedding date.

Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara together visits Guruvayur!

The couple has been in the news for quite some time. After the grant of divorce to Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara’s completion of her last film, Sri Rama Rajyam, the couple is all set to get married soon, may be in the month of August.

The couple was seen in Guruvayur town recently. Both of them visited the famous Guruvayur temple, while Prabhu Deva went inside the temple Nayanthara waited outside sitting in a car. Since Nayanthara is a Christian by birth she could not go inside the temple as the temple does not allow non-hindus inside its premises.

Prabhu Deva after praying at the main Sanctorum offered plantain shoots at the Thulabaram.

After Prabhu Deva’s prayers, both left the temple by car. It is said that the couple had plans to visit Nayan’s hometown also.

The couple will be back in Chennai soon.

Prabhu Deva and Nayantara wedding in Mumbai!

The divorce case of Prabhu Deva - Ramalath came for hearing yesterday. They came to the court within minutes of other’s arrival. Both appeared before the Judge Pandiyan. The judge verified the documents relating to Prabhu Deva’s handing over 3 houses and Rs.10 lakh deposit to his wife meant for the welfare of his children as promised in the divorce appeal.

Then Prabhu Deva and Ramalath made their statements and signed the agreement. The judge ordered that the judgment will be given on July 7th. Following this Prabhu Deva and Ramalath came out separately and went off in their cars.

Earlier, both Prabhu Deva and Ramalath were discussing quite cordially and jovially without a thought of their divorce which made many in the court wonder. Once the divorce order is given on 7th, the route for Nayantra will be clear. Prabhu Deva and Nayantara have decided to have their wedding in Mumbai after that. Hectic preparations are to take place now for the wedding.

Prabhu Deva got divorce!

Finally, it was D-day for Prabhu Deva, as he was sanctioned divorce with his wife of 15 years Latha aka Ramlath  today (July 2) at the family court in Chennai.

Remember that a joint affidavit, signed by the couple, was submitted in the family court on Dec 29, 2010.

The final settlement,  was fixed for hearing after six months (on June 30) but both the parties failed to appear on the said date and the Magistrate has posted the case to July 10th, 2011.

But like a filmi-twist, Prabhu and Latha suddenly appeared before the magistrate today and was sanctioned divorce. This high drama at the Family court grounds has brought to an end a rather complicated court battle. Sources close to Prabhu say that it was to avoid media glare and publicity that he failed to appear on June 30 and instead opt for today.

But contrary to what Prabhu thought, the news of Prabhu and Latha appearing in court was out by noon and a huge contingent of reporters from newspapers and channels were waiting outside to hear the verdict. Prabhu was seen calm and composed but refused to speak to the media.

Akshay Kumar in Siruthai remake!

Karthi's super hit Siruthai is going to be remade in Hindi by director Prabhu Deva, which will be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The film will have Bollywood's original khiladi Akshay Kumar and the hot 'n' happening Sonakshi Sinha in the lead.

Siruthai , a mass masala action entertainer, was a remake of Ravi Teja film Vikramarkudu in Telugu.

The remake went on to become 2011's most successful Tamil film so far at the box-office.

Vikramarkudu and Siruthai became super hits because Ravi Teja and Karthi could carry the difficult dual role of a street smart goonda and a rough and tough police officer successfully.

The buzz from Bollywood is that, after seeing both the films, the makers felt that Akshay Kumar would suit the role in Hindi, as it has all the mass elements.

Prabhu Deva and actress Nayantara marraige announced

It looks like ace director Prabhu Deva and actress Nayantara will tie the knot sometime in June or July 2011.

Sources say that the delay in their marriage is because of the ongoing divorce case filed by Prabhu Deva and his wife Ramlatha before the family court of Chennai in December 2010.

Initially, Ramlatha was unwilling to settle for a compromise, but when Prabhu Deva offered her a huge compensation in alimony, including three residential properties and two cars, she accepted the compromise.

According to a source, Prabhu has already started giving the alimony he promised and as a first step, he recently paid her Rs. 5 lakhs. A farmhouse and a 22-cent property in ECR have also been transferred to Ramlatha and their two sons Rishi and Aditya. Besides a property in Hyderabad, a flat in Anna Nagar will also be transferred to Ramlatha.

Prabhu Deva started shooting with Vishal and Sameera!

Prabhu Deva shot for the first time scenes involving Vishal and Sameera Reddy for GK Corporations untitled film at SSN College in Chennai.

The film is a remake of the Telugu hit Shouryam that had Gopichand and Anushka in the lead.

Earlier last month, after a soft launch, Prabhu Deva had shot comedy scenes between Vivek and Sameera at the same college.

Vishal who plays a cop in the film has started shooting only from Friday (Feb 18), as he was busy completing Bala's Avan Ivan.

Prabhu Deva directing Vishal in an all out action movie has created a positive buzz around the film.

The film has music by Vijay Antony  and it is sure to turn out into a peppy entertainer.

Nayanthara: “Prabhu Deva told me not to act in films”

2010 was favourable to Nayantara as an actress, though it put immense pressure her as an individual, thanks to her relationship with Prabhu Deva!

With the back-to-back success of her almost all films in 2010, everybody thought that she would regain her No. 1 position in the South in 2011, but things are apparently not working out like that!

Sources close to the actress reveal that she has stopped giving dates and is planning to quit films after completing her ongoing Telugu project Sri Rama Rajyam, a mythological film in which she plays Sita.

The buzz is that Prabhu Deva had asked her to quit films after Sri Rama Rajyam, since they are getting married by the year end. A website also quoted the actress as saying: "Prabhu Deva told me not to act in films post marriage. Having thought it through and discussed it with wellwishers, I am absolutely confident it is the right decision for me." So Sri Rama Rajyam is most likely to be her swan song as an actress.

Vishal will join Prabhu Deva's film soon!

Reportedly Vishal has completed the shoot of Bala’s Avan Ivan and will now join Prabhu Deva's film unit in the first week of February. The film is produced under Vishal’s home banner GK Film Corporation. Pretty actress Sameera Reddy has already started shooting for the film in Chennai. Reportedly Sameera plays the role of a fun-loving college girl Paaro. Sameera will try her hand at comedy for the first time in this film.

Meanwhile, Prabhu Deva’s directorial venture Engeyum Kaathal, staring Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani, is likely to hit screens on Valentine's Day.
