Vijay’s special gift!
Here is an interesting titbit about Vijay's Velayudham! According to sources, Vijay was close to tears and fought hard to control his emotions after watching the climax of the film. He was moved by Jayam Raja's extraordinary direction skills and Priyan's camera work. To appreciate the team effort, Vijay also gifted gold chains to all his chief technicians.
Reportedly director Raja has left no stone unturned to make it a grand climax. The climax scene involves almost 5000 artistes, 1000 vans and extras. Apart from that, a huge set has also been erected in a mill near the airport for the climax sequence. This mass entertainer stars Genelia, Hansika and Saranya Mohan, Santhanam, M.S. Bhaskar, Sathyan, Pandirajan and Sayaji Shinde in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Aascar Ravichandran and Vijay Anthony is the music composer.

Vijay’s Velayudham audio launch on july 21!
Ilayathalapathy Vijay's forthcoming flick 'Velayudham' is slated for an August 2011 release and the Kollywood grapevine now has it that this superhero sort of a movie, will see an audio launch, later this month, at July 21.
Although there�s no official word on this yet, the audio of this film, set by Vijay Antony, will be unveiled on July 21.
The film is directed by M Raja of 'Jayam' fame and is produced by Aascar Films. It stars Vijay, Hansika and Genelia in the lead roles, where Hansika plays Vijay's love interest, Genelia plays a television reporter. It is said that Hansika and Santhanam will take care of the comedy element in this film.

Vijay’s Velayudham in final schedule

After the success of Siddique's Kaavalan, Vijay is currently busy with his 52nd film Velayudham directed by Jayam Raja. Bubbly Genelia and Hansika Motwani are the heroines. Genelia D'Souza will play the role of a journalist, while Hansika Motwani will be a village belle. The latest buzz is that the film is a complete mass entertainer and 90% of the shoot has been completed. Velayudham will grace theatres in summer 2011.
Vijay Anthony is expected to compose some peppy numbers for this film produced by Aascar Ravichandran. Santhanam and Sathyan take care of the humour element.

‘Kakka kakka’ hindi remake is nearing completion!
Nishikanth Kamat known for his unorthodox style of filmmaking turned global spotlights with his Marathi movie ‘Dombvili Fast’ that won several international awards. Later the film remade in Tamil as ‘Evano Oruvan’ marveled every set of audiences.
In Bollywood, the filmmaker rose to epitome of success with ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’ that was a classic showpiece revolving around 6 parallel tracks of stories interwoven through a series of bomb blasts.
Now the filmmaker is busy wrapping up with the Hindi remake of ‘Kakka kakka’ featuring John Abraham and Genelia D’ Souza in lead roles. Producer Vipul Shah has admitted that the plot from the Tamil version will remain the same while most of the scenes will be brand new savoring to the tastes of Hindi audiences

Dhanush praised Genelia’s stunts!
Dhanush and Genelia D Souza who had worked together in Uthama Puthiran, has become good of friends. Dhanush who is currently shooting for Venghai with Tamanna under Hari's direction in Trichy is in praises for her Uthama Puthiran co star Genelia.
Dhanush after seeing Genelia's stunts in her upcoming multi lingual movie Urumi directed by Santosh Sivan, praised her action stunts and her dare devil act.
Dhanush tweeted, “ Saw Urumi trailer. Looking awesome. Ur stunts r looking convincing! (Sic)”
