Vishal is in love with Varalaxmi!

Well, that is the latest and hottest news in Kollywood today! Rumours suggest that handsome hunk Vishal is in love with Sarathkumar's daughter Varalaxmi. The relationship recently reached a point where there was even discussion of marriage, but reportedly Vishal's father is not happy with the relationship. Friends turned foes Sarathkumar and G.K. Reddy (Vishal's father) have worked together in many projects; their last joint outing was I Love India, which failed miserable at the box office.

But actor Vishal has denied all these reports and claims they are 'just good friends'.

'Podaa Podi' shooting will be in Spain!

Simbu seems to be all over the place. The actor seems to be managing his time perfectly with simultaneously doing three films and being cool with it! And let us not forget his singing schedules too. The actor was recently in Mysore to shoot for the first schedule of 'Osthi,' the Kollywood remake of 'Dabangg.'

Reports are now flowing in that 'Podaa Podi,' yet another flick which sees Simbu in the lead has wrapped up shooting from Chennai. What remains now for the team, are some scenes to be canned at Spain as well as some songs to be shot.


'Podaa Podi' sees Simbu in the lead with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar debuting into Kollywood.Written and directed by Vignesh Shiva the film is a rom-com caper and with what Simbu is best at! A lot of importance has been given to the songs and the dance numbers which is sure to have some hip-hop and peppy dance numbers.


The film will also spring some surprises on the audience with Gautham Menon touted to play a cameo. The music for this film is by Dharan and sources close to the film reveal the songs have a fresh feel to it.
Of course, Simbu has crooned a couple of numbers with his friend and music director Yuvan wielding the mic for on of the songs. The title song is believed to have been belted out by Benny and Andrea Jeremiah!

Simbu records for Poda Podi

Simbu flew to Mumbai to record a song with percussionist Sivamani for Poda Podi, which has music by Dharan.

Since Simbu was in Mumbai, he could not attend the Mirchi Music Awards on Saturday evening in Chennai.

The buzz is that the music of Poda Podi has really come out well. Already Simbu is humming tunes from the film. Simbu himself is taking a personal care in the music of the film.

Two songs are going to be picturised on Simbu and Varalakshmi in London and Malta, early in August for Poda Podi.

Simbhu’s Poda Podi gets bigger!

Simbu's next project Poda Podi is getting bigger day by day. Well known artist Ute Bergk (assistant art director of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and V for Vendetta) has been roped in as the art director for the film recently.

Ute Bergk is a well know film set designer based in London. She has gained extensive experience in working on films and TV since 1995.

And the surprise doesn't stop there! Debutant director Vikki alias Vignesh Shiva is busy conducting auditions in London to select the rest of the cast. A 50 member crew will be flying to London in the first week of July to start its first shooting schedule. Poda Podi, starring Silambarasan and star kid Varalaxmi, is produced by Gemini and Padam Kumar. As the title suggests, the film is an energetic rom-com.

SILAMBARASAN’S LONDON VISIT

Silambarasan will fly down to London. Enquiries revealed that the actor’s trip to London is to scout for locations for his next film Poda Podi. As announced earlier, Sarath Kumar’s daughter Varalakshmi plays the female lead.

The film will be produced jointly by Gemini Films and Padma Kumar. The director of this venture is Vignesh Siva.

It is worth mentioning here that Silambarasan initially wanted to shoot the film in Toronto but opted for London due to better climatic conditions.
