Crowd mobbed Arya and Sameera Reddy!

Arya and Sameera Reddy are shooting for Lingusamy’s Vettai which also has Madhavan and Amala Paul in important roles. While returning to Chennai from Karaikudi after completing the first schedule shooting, Arya and his heroine decided on a train journey with Lingusamy thinking it would be good fun.

The-Vettai-team

It was decided that they would get down in Tambaram itself to avoid drawing attention to themselves. But when the adventurous pair got down, they were spotted despite the oversized shades and cap Arya was wearing and the dupatta Sameera had used to veil her face. The fans mobbed them and were determined to get close with the stars.

Sameera became frightened as the crowd increased. Arya had already arranged for his car to pick them up. So he somehow managed to find it pushing his way through the crowd and steering Sameera towards safety. His driver and a friend kept the crowd at bay while Arya got a distressed Sameera into the car. Sources close to the stars say that they have decided to fly to their destinations from now on.

Trisha’s mom say yes to Kamal

It's all happening for Kamal Haasan. Many directors tried to persuade Uma Krishnan, the beautiful mother of Trisha Krishnan to act in films but the lady politely turned away all the offers saying daughter's career first.

Even the biggie PL Thenappan asked her once and she refused. Director Radha Mohan tried for the mother role in 'Abhiyum Naanum'. But now Uma Krishnan could not say no to Kamal Haasan. Reliable sources say Uma Krishnan has agreed to do a cameo in Kamal's 'Manmathan Ambu' which largely filmed in a luxury cruise.

The team is already in Europe for the first schedule. ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ stars Kamal Haasan, Madhavan, Trisha and Sangeetha in main roles.

Madhavan as Tamanna’s brother

Silambarasan has committed two films simultaneously after ‘VTV’. One is the film in which he pairs opposite Sarath Kumar's daughter Varalaxmi. The other one is the film of Lingusamy.

tamanna-paiya-audio-launch-stills-pics-photo-gallery-images-06

Lingusamy film is a bi-lingual in Tamil and Telugu. Buzz is that Tamanna has been asked to give 25 days successively for the film by Lingusamy. Tamanna plays a law college student and she has also been asked to lose some weight and get fit for the role. Lingusamy's associates say Simbu-Tamanna pair will be as much talked about as Simbu-Trisha jodi in ‘VTV’.

Tamannah also has an author backed role which has more emotions than dialogues they say. She will have just two pages of words to be spoken in the entire films and you will see a new Tamanna they add.

For the important role of Tamanna's brother in the film Lingusamy tried Madhavan and is still waiting for his answer. While waiting for Madhavan, Lingusamy also has a stand by in Ajmal, just in case.

Madhavan 3 idiots

Maddy was replying to a question about the speculation of the hero’s that will star in the Tamil remake ever since Gemini Film Circuit bought the Telugu and Tamil remake rights of 3 Idiots from Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Maddy loses his voice

madhavan_22may09_225x300

The stand off between Madhavan and his Avan Aval Adhu producer Gaurav Sharma is getting bizarre. Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) was forced to intervene, and the producer was given the green signal to release the film. Maddy refused to dub for the film, as part of his salary is still pending. Gaurav Sharma was left with no other alternative than using a dubbing artist to dub for the star, as the film is scheduled to release on May 29.

The film directed by Kona Venkat is said to be an `edge of the seat thriller` and features two heroines Sada and Shamita Shetty. The film, which was earlier titled Leelai, is a remake of the Ram Gopal Varma-produced Hindi film Darling. Madhavan who is training to do martial arts in Hong Kong for a forthcoming Bollywood film, told sify.com: "First let the film release, then I will comment".

Bollywood is keeping Madhavan busy!

madhavan

2009 looks to be a good year for Madhavan, who seems to have his platter full with promising movies and is looking forward to the release of some projects with big names. The star recently signed with two young directors, Navdeep Singh and Aanand Rai of Bollywood, who have proved their mettle with the critically well-received movies ’Manorama Six Feet Under’ and ’Strangers’. Talking about the projects has Madhavan excited. The actor asserts that his brush with Vikram Kumar, the director of ’Yaavarum Nalam’ (13B in Hindi), left him with an appreciation for concrete story lines.

It is worthy to tell about his next release ’Naan Aval Adhu’ which is a thriller after his successful supernatural thriller ’Yaavarum Nalam’. While these movies promise to keep Madhavan busy into next year, he’s also eagerly awaiting the release of ’Teen Patti’. The heartthrob has been cast alongside the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Sir Ben Kingsley in ’Teen Patti’. Also releasing is another multi-starer, ’Three Idiots’, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and co-starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Sharman Joshi. Madhavan’s latest release ’Guru En Aalu’ doing a fair job now is a remake of the Hindi blockbuster ’Yes Boss’. It seems like Bollywood is adding more boost to Madhavan’s recent flicks down south.

Madhavan – in mood for a holiday

Madhavan kollywood actor

The success of the thriller ‘13B’ in Bollywood means a lot to actor Madhavan. Without doubt, just like his immense popularity down south, he is also a well known actor in north India. But he has been struggling for some years to repeat the success he achieved as a leading man in the Tamil film Industry in Bollywood too. It seems that the acceptance of ‘13 B’ as a well made flick with a novel story has started to bring in some exiting offers for Madhavan in the Hindi Tinsel Town.

As a symbol of appreciation for the happiness derived from the success of ‘13B’, Madhavan has decided to take the film’s director Vikram K Kumar for a week long holiday. Madhavan says “I had promised Vikram a treat during the making of the movie. He deserves every bit of the success he is getting now after six years of hard work in this industry. We are going for a holiday to Dubai or Singapore. It is a boys only holiday, where we will be chilling out, eating and indulging in water sports”. During the vacation, the actor and the director also hope to discuss

Madhavan and Sada leelai

Madhavan,Sadha in leelai

Ram Gopal Varma’s Hindi film ’Darling’ was to be remade in Tamil with Madhavan and Sada in lead roles. RGV collaborated with some financiers from Hindi filmdom to produce this film and it was to be directed by Kona Venkat.

The movie titled ’Leelai’ set sail smoothly with Madhavan, Sadha and Shamitha Shetty reportedly donning their roles perfectly in this obsessive love themed thriller. But then, financial constraints have unfortunately made the ninety percent complete film come to a grinding halt.

The movie has been officially shelved and what’s more, the name ’Leelai’ is now being used for another project from the stable of Aascar Ravichandran.
