Amala Paul replaces Anushka!
While reports suggest that Anushka has turned down the offer to play Venkatesh's love interest in Venkatesh-Mahesh Babu starrer Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC), it is now heard that producer Dil Raju has roped in Amala Paul for the same role. After playing Naga Chaitanya's heroine in Bejawada, Amala Paul is currently doing Love Failure opposite Siddharth. If everything goes well, Amala Paul will play Venkatesh's wife in SVSC, directed by Srikanth Addala. Samantha is Mahesh Babu's heroine. SVSC was launched on October 7. Latha Rajinikanth spoke to a private satellite channel on her husband's birthday. To a question on whether Kochadaiyaan will be a prequel to Rana, the Superstar’s wife said that it is a pioneering effort from Soundarya Rajinikanth and depending on the course of direction Kochadaiyaan takes, anything can happen with Rana in the future. Kamal Haasan will leave for the US with his 75-member crew on December 15th. STR’s Osthi a good opening!
STR’s Dharani directed Osthi has taken a good opening all over Tamil Nadu. The opening is uniform in multiplexes and single screens in B and C stations. The film after initial release hiccups, opened on Thursday, a working day to get the advantage of a four-day weekend. It succeeded to a large extent as STR films always take a good start and there was an 85 to 90 % opening on day-one and two and holding well on Saturday. Rajesh of Raja theatre in Kallidaikurichi says: “ Osthi is a racy mass masala that is being lapped up by the audiences. It has opened well and collections are steady.” Dharani is happy the way the Osthi has opened....

Rajinikanth’s Kochadiayaan to start on his Birthday!
Rajinikanth who will be working on his next project titled Kochadiayaan after dropping his ambitious Rana for which he had written the script is likely to start the work on his birthday which falls on the 12th of December. The film will be directed by Soundarya Ashwin Rajinikanth and has dialogues/ screenplay written by director KS Ravikumar. Actress Anushka will make a cameo appearance in Karthi's Saguni, directed by a debutant Shankar Dayal, one-time assistant to director Ezhil. The actress recently shot the movie.
