Despite several personal conflicts between the couple a few years back, the two actors – Nayanthara and Simbu have decided to work together in a film!
According to the recent buzz Nayanthara and Simbu are paired up opposite each other in an upcoming film directed by Pandiraj.
Earlier Simbu and Pandiraj started the shoot of this untitled film, a few weeks ago in Chennai without the leading lady. They had to start with the next schedule, however took a break to finalise their heroine.
Now it is confirmed to be Nayathara to play the romantic interest opposite Simbu, who is currently working on Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal, alongside Udhayanidhi Stalin.
Nayanthara is said to be playing the role of Mylaa, a lovable girl next-door character in this romantic comedy.
Pandiraj confirms and said, “I felt that Nayanthara would be a perfect fit for the character and approached her through our cinematographer Balasubramaniem, who is working with her in Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal. She liked the role but was reluctant to agree because Simbu was the lead. However, I convinced her by pointing out that exes like Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have worked together after breaking up. She understood my point of view and agreed.”
Simbu too was said to be initially sceptical about pairing up with her, as it might create unwanted rumours, but Pandiraj has convinced him too.
Pandiraj added, “But I told him that this would work. So, he told me that if I believed this will benefit the film, he was OK with it.”
Popular singer Chinmayi and actor Rahul Ravindran (of Moscowin Kaveri fame) are all set to walk down the aisle soon. The two announced their relationship status on their respective micro-blogging pages by tweeting photos of the other, with a caption that read 'Hello boyfriend' and 'Hello girlfriend'.
The wedding,we hear, will be held early next year. Chinmayi's mother, Padmhasini, says, "I'm very happy to announce that my daughter will be getting married to Rahul. He's a down-to-earth, practical and a simple person. He's well educated and has no airs.We are yet to fix a date for both the engagement and the wedding."
She continues, "It's a love-cum- arranged marriage. Rahul is planning to continue his career from Hyderabad, and Chinmayi is planning to pursue her career from Chennai. So, it's like a long-distance marriage, and the family wanted them to come to terms with that, and I'm glad things have fallen in place."
It’s a known fact that Deepika Padukone went out of her way to accommodate dates for Kochadaiiyaan. It was a golden chance to work with the superstar Rajinikanth which she couldn’t have missed. Now, the industry is abuzz with reports of the actress’ fat paycheque for the film.
Sources claim that though the actress has a full-fledged role in the film, she was required for only a couple of days due to the new Motion Captured Photorealistic technology.
If reports are to be believed then the Chennai Express actress was paid a Rs. 3 crore for a two-day shoot schedule, setting a new benchmark in Bollywood.
According to the movie’s director Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin, Deepika was a bit apprehensive about the new technology. “But she soon gave her complete commitment to the project. We completed her portions in 48 hours,” Soundarya is quoted as saying.
Like Rajinikanth, Deepika too will be seen as a warrior in the film. The actress has worn a specially designed bodysuit for the scenes and gave her shots without any make-up. A fleeting glimpse of her in a fight sequence was also a part of Kochadaiiyan teaser.
Deepika has even shot a full length action sequence with Rajinikanth. The scene is shot extensively in London, and the director’s supervisor claims that it will be lapped up by the frenzied fans.
Dhanush's upcoming production venture Kakka Muttai, which is produced under his banner Wunderbar Films will have Simbu's special cameo appearance. Simbu will appear as himself (actor) in the movie.
The film is jointly produced by Vetrimaaran's Grass Root Films and is directed by Manikandan. The movie based on kids dwelling in slums will wrap up the shoot by the end of the month.
Kakka Muttai has music score by GV Prakash and is expected to hit the screen by December this year. The team is very much excited and is confident of winning many awards post its release.
Vishnuvardhan’s film with Ajith Arrambam is now one of the hottest selling movies. The film’s distribution rights have partly been bagged by AM Ratnam, the film’s producer, for certain sections of Tamilnadu.
Some reports suggest that the movie’s Karnataka distribution rights is sold for nearly 3 crores, a first timer for an Ajith film. The Coimbatore distribution is said to be taken care by Cosmo Pictures, who earlier tasted success with Nanban and Thuppaki.
The film’s release date is yet to be officially announced, yet the expectation from the film among the ultimate star’s fans are very high and are eagerly awaiting its release. It is speculated that the movie will be releasing for Diwali.
With Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music, the movie has Arya, Nayanthara, Tapasee Pannu and Rana Daggubati in the leads. Sony has bought the music rights.
With Om Prakash’s cinematography and A Sreekar Prasad’s editing, the movie also stars Mahesh Manjrekar, Atul Kulkarni, Suman Ranganathan, Kishore, Akshara Gowda, Prashant Nair and Lee Whittaker in a special appearance.
Actress Simran who once ruled both Tollywood and Kollywood had warned Hansika who is in neck deep love with Kollywood Casanova Simbu.

Popular music director James Vasanthan has been arrested for his alleged derogatory remarks against his neighbour Radha Venuprasad, a 64 year old. Radha, a resident of Palavakkam, has submitted a case against James Vasanthan with Neelankarai police station accusing him of abusing her in foul language.
James Vasanthan and Radha are neighbours living in adjacent plots at VGP Golden Seaview, Palavakkam. Reportedly the trouble started, when the musician had started the construction of his house couple of years back in an adjacent plot. But Radha, a Asthma patient had breathing problems because of the dust rising from the construction site, the neighbours talks ended in verbal attack from both sides. Radha filed a complaint in May 2011 of verbal abuse and attacking her with a flower pot. However the case is pending in court.
Against this backdrop, now Radha has filed a fresh complaint against him for abusing her with offensive swear words on Saturday morning and urged the police men to take immediate action.
On her complaint, the Neelankarai police have charged James Vasanthan under three acts, including Women Harassment Act.
When contacted, James Vasanthan denied all the allegations made against him. “It was Radha who abused me on Saturday morning, now I am amused how she could go on to make to complaint against me . Though I have a good reputation in the society, I am being treated like a terrorist.Over 50 policemen arrived at my house to arrest me, they even manhandled me and my wife. I know the law will take its course. My conscience is clear. I trust in God above all.”, he said.
"I`m not dead yet," said Kanaka Mahalakshmi, a well-known southern actress, to squash rumours of her death. On Tuesday, it was reported that Kanaka, who was undergoing treatment at the Palliative Care Hospital in Alappuzha, Kerala for cancer, died after the treatment failed to cure the disease.
Late in the evening, Kanaka called a press conference at her residence here to clarify rumours about her death. "I`m not dead yet as I have been quoted by some media channels. I`m perfectly healthy. I don`t have cancer and neither have I had the scare! The last time I was in Kerala, it was in 1992 when I was shooting for a Malayalam film. I`m very much alive! These are nothing but speculations," Kanaka said.
She also said this was neither a publicity stunt.
"I don`t think anyone would fake their death, not even film stars. I have stayed away from cinema for personal reasons, but I`m likely to return soon. I have been getting offers, but I`m waiting for the perfect role," she said. Kanaka, who rose to fame with 1989 Tamil blockbuster debut "Karakattakaran", is the daughter of yesteryear actress Devika. Since her mother passed away in 2002, Kanaka has been away from filmdom.
In the Malayalam film industry, she worked with superstars like Mammootty and Mohanlal. In fact, Shaji Kailas` 2000 hit film "Narasimham" saw her sharing the screen space with the both of them. Her other Malayalam films include "Vietnam Colony", "Golanthara Vartha" and "Pingami". She is known for several hit films such as "Godfather", "Periya Kudumbam" and "Jallikattu Kalai".
