Prakash Raj's bad attitude to his profession

Kollywood actor Prakash Raj has been banned from the Telugu film industry. The Telugu film producers accuse him of unprofessionalism and a notorious late lateef. Prakash Raj has been on the verge of ban from Telugu films for quite some time. And at last, Telugu film industry has decided to put ban on him. On Friday (May 30, 2008), Film Producer’s Council of Andhra Pradesh has issued an advertisement stating that the council has decided to not to use his services.

The council has also requested producers and directors not to include him in Telugu films. It is official ban. Even before this ban, many producers who are vexed up with his attitude have stopped selecting Prakash Raj for movies. There have been many allegations on Prakash Raj from various producers that he deliberately doesn’t come to the sets and never honors the allotted call sheets.

’Recently released films like Jalsa, Kanthri and Parugu were the most prominent films that suffered from Prakash Raj’s late lateef ways’ says many Telugu film producers who were fed up with the actor’s attitude to his profession.

Sangeetha awesome return!

Kollywood actress Sangeetha, has been off the screen for longer time and now she is back with a lead role in a film titled Kanakam.

"The reason I agreed to do the film is because I have been inspired by the subject. It’s based on true-life. The story is of a woman, who battled all odds to lead the life she desired. It has a social message for the audience to take home," she says.

The film is being directed by debutant Sri Prasad. It’s been a while since Sangeetha’s done any woman-oriented film and it will be interesting to see how she fares.

Shreya only in young roles

Finally, Sarath Kumar confirms that his next project after the ongoing 1977 will be Jaggu Bhai, directed by KS Ravikumar. The film is being produced by Sarath’s wife Radhika’s Raadan Media Works and actress Shreya shares the screen for the lead lady role with actress Sneha.

Shreya would play the role of Sarath Kumar’s daughter in this film. Meanwhile, Sneha, who signed earlier for the role of Shreya’s mother, has opted out from the film due to her unhappiness over the role. She had given her bulk dates to Vikram starrer Tamil project.

According to the source, Shreya was first offered the dual role of daughter and She made it clear that she was only interested in doing the young roles. Sneha, who was to play the mother’s role, has opted out after Shreya was signed.

The director is also searching a suitable actress for the role of young and glamorous wife of Sarath Kumar in the film. Based on father - daughter relationship in different angle, the film will go on floors by June 15, after Sarath’s return from 1977 shooting.

Shruti Kamal is getting wide publicity in the media

Actress Shruti Kamal, daughter of Kamal Hassan, is getting wide publicity in the media. The 17 years old young, who yet to start her career, has emerged as the centre of attraction in all the functions she attended.

Actress Kanihaa will get married on June 16,

Actress Kanihaa, who stole everyone’s hearts straightaway in her first movie Five Star, has now met her perfect match and they have decided to tie the knot. She will get married in Chennai on June 16, 2008 to Shyam, a software professional from the US.

A grand reception will be held a day before the marriage. The guest list for the reception and marriage includes almost all the big names of Kollywood like Mani Rathnam and his Suhasini, director K. Vikram has rendered his voice for a song

Kanthaswamy, the Vikram-Shriya starrer, has created enough hype during it launch a few months ago. News about this film always finds its way to the media more so because of the big names involved in it.

The latest buzz that has everyone surprised is that Vikram has rendered his voice for the song "Excuse Me Mr. Kanthaswamy."

He sings this duet along with Suchitra. Quite naturally, the song will be picturised on the lead pair, and sources reveal that the crew intends to shoot it in Mexico. A choreographer from Mumbai has been signed up for this song.

It is worth mentioning here that during the launch of Kanthswamy, this song was played in the background. However, director Susi Ganesan and music director Devi Sri Prasad have now decided to rework on the song to make it zippier.
